新富　消防地蔵尊　縁起
　昭和16年（1941）2月13日の深夜、この地に在った家具製作所から出火しました。
　折からの強風に煽られ、火は7棟・170余坪（567㎡）を焼尽くしました。猛火の中を、逃げ遅れた女子従業員を救出しに入った少年を含め、3名の若い命が失われました。
　翌17年（1942）4月、跡地に京橋消防署新富町出張所が設立され、地域防災の任にあたりました。
　然しながら、出勤した消防隊員に負傷者が続発したり、又「非番なのに望楼へこつこつと登る足音がする」とか「夜中に少女がさめざめと泣く声が聞こえる」などの噂が広まりました。
　昭和28年（1953）、消防署と協議し、町会役員・町内有志の発意と芳志により、此処に殉難者の鎮魂と地域の安全を祈願する（新富消防地蔵尊）が建立されました。
　以後、さしたる災害もなく、平成に入り、京橋消防署の新富町出張所はその任を終えましたが消防地蔵尊はそのまま存続し、昔を知るお年寄りの他、各種の願い事を祈願する人々の参詣も多く、今日に至っております。


Shintomi fire Jizo auspicious

Midnight of February 13, 1941, Furniture Manufactory became fire.
567㎡ was burned down by the strong winds. Including the boy who went to rescue the girls trapped employee, through the Inferno, the young lives of three people has been lost.

The following year, in April 1942, Kyobashi fire department Shintomicho branch office was established on the site.

However, rumor injured or secondary to firefighters was attendance, also "voice girl cry in the middle of the night can be heard" and "footsteps climb diligently to watchtower is but a off-duty" or was spread.

1953, people in the town are in consultation with the fire department, in order to pray for the safety of the community and requiem of martyrs who, Shintomi fire Jizo has been erected.

After that, no major disaster, Shintomicho branch of Kyobashi fire department has completed its appointment, but fire Jizo was survived intact.
Even now, in addition to the elderly to know the old days, pilgrimage of people who make a wish of various often.
